DUSHANBE. Feb 10 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian border guards have seized two kilos of heroin and 10 kilos of ammonal on the Tajik- Afghan border.
The press service of the Russian border force in Tajikistan told Interfax on Monday that a border patrol discovered a man trying to cross the border river on an inflatable boat at 8:50 p.m. local time on Sunday on the Kalaikhumb section of the border.
When the border guards attempted to stop the man fire was opened at them from Afghan territory. The firing position was suppressed by reply fire.
There were no losses among the border guards.
When they examined the area they discovered two kilos of heroin and 10 kilos of explosives.
