MOSCOW. March 4 (Interfax-AVN) - The Ministry for Natural Resources has inspected the preparedness of the lewisite section at the war chemicals' disposal facility in Gorny, Saratov region, and suggested that the management remove the discovered shortcomings in a month's time.
"A ministry commission worked at the facility for the disposal of chemical weapons in the town of Gorny, Saratov region, on February 25 through 27," First Deputy Minister for Natural Resources Vitaly Karaganov told Interfax on Monday.
"Given the upcoming commissioning of the lewisite disposal line in May and the increase in the facility's capacity the ministry commission singled out several flaws of the facility and prescribed the management to submit concrete proposals on their removal to the ministry for approval in a month's time," he said.
