GROZNY. March 5 (Interfax-AVN) - Two servicemen were killed and four wounded in a terrorist attack in Chechnya on Tuesday night.
Dzhabrail Yamadayev, the commander of a special platoon of the Chechen military commandant's office, and a sniper were killed in the village of Dyshne-Vedeno, the Chechen Interior Ministry told Interfax. The bomb was planted in a sofa in the house where Yamadayev was staying.
Yamadayev took part in many special operations against Chechen guerillas and international terrorists. His unit was considered among the most efficient ones.
A criminal case was launched in the wake of the terrorist attack.
