Border guards destroy two arms and ammo caches in North Caucasus

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian border guards have found several F-1 grenades, nearly 1,000 cartridges, dozens of machine-gun belts and magazines for the Kalashnikov assault rifle not far from the Torgim village in the internal republic of Ingushetia, the press center of the Federal Border Guard Service said on Tuesday.

A cache in Chechnya was destroyed by servicemen by the Argun border guard detachment, a press center official told Interfax- Military News Agency. The cache contained nine anti-tank grenade launchers and 560 cartridges.

Border guards of the North Caucasus regional border guard department seized about 13,000 ammunition pieces from various caches in January and February this year, the official said.
