DUSHANBE. March 12 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian border guards have destroyed over 220 kilos of heroin confiscated on the Tajik- Afghan border over the past two weeks, the press service of the Russian border force in Tajikistan said on Wednesday.
The drugs were burned down, a press service official told Interfax-Military News Agency.
The action coincided with an exercise in eliminating drugs confiscated from drug-traffickers by border authorities. The exercise involved heads of border pickets organic of the Russian border force.
Young unit commanders will spend three days learning how to combat crime and act in compliance with legislation on preserving servicemen's lives and health.
