Pacific Fleet search, rescue forces fail to find exact location of crashed heli

VLADIVOSTOK. March 28 (Interfax-AVN) - Search and rescue forces of the Pacific Fleet have so far been unable to find the exact location of the KA-27PS Helix helicopter that crashed in the Ussurijsk Gulf on Wednesday.

"Fragments of the helicopter were found during the search, but the exact place of its fall is not yet determined. Search and rescue forces surveyed the area overnight to Friday and found two possible locations of the helicopter," a source in the fleet headquarters told Interfax-Military News Agency.

The KA-27PS ship-borne search-and-rescue helicopter fell into the sea from an altitude of 50 meters while practicing take- off from the Admiral Tributs large anti-submarine ship of the Russian Pacific Fleet at 4:35 p.m. Moscow time (1335 GMT) on Wednesday.
