MOSCOW. April 2 (Interfax-AVN) - A Russian federal MI-24 Hind helicopter made an emergency landing in Chechnya on Wednesday, press secretary of the Russian Defense Ministry Colonel Nikolai Deryabin told Interfax on Wednesday.
"The captain of the crew decided to make an emergency landing after a fault in the engine's operation was revealed," Deryabin said. "The landing was carried out successfully. The crew was not harmed, and the helicopter was not damaged. An emergency team repaired the engine, after which the helicopter returned to the base in Khankala," he said.
