France to help Georgian train border guards

TBILISI. April 3 (Interfax-AVN) - France will help Georgia train experts in border protection.

"The opening of a special center for training border guards who are to serve in adverse mountain conditions will be considered during a visit of the French Defense Ministry delegation to Georgia in May," a source in the Georgian State Border Guard Department told Interfax-Military News Agency on Thursday.

A delegation of the French Defense Ministry's strategy directorate is studying the situation on Georgian borders with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkey, the source said.
