VILNIUS. April 8 (Interfax-AVN) - Four Lithuanian doctors and ten logistics experts are expected to leave for Iraq on Wednesday.
"Lithuanian soldiers who have volunteered to go on this mission will serve in the rear. They will not take part in any hostilities," the press service of the Lithuanian Defense Ministry told Interfax on Tuesday.
This departure was made possible by a resolution on the participation of Lithuanian soldiers in the U.S.-led international operation in the Gulf region, which was adopted by the country's parliament on March 25.
