Ukrainian military delegation to visit Hungary Tuesday to Thursday

KYIV. April 8 (Interfax-AVN) - A Ukrainian military delegation led by Land Forces Commander Petro Shulyak will make an official visit to Hungary from Tuesday to Thursday, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry press service reported.

A press service official told Interfax-Military News Agency that during the visit Shulyak will make a courtesy call to Lajos Fodor, chief of the Defense Staff of the Hungarian Ministry of Defense.

The agenda of the delegation's visit includes a meeting between Shulyak and his Hungarian counterpart Ferenc Gyorossy in the town of Szekesfehervar and negotiations of delegations from the two countries.

The parties also plan to discuss prospects of bilateral military cooperation development on the level of the Land Forces as well as training of servicemen of national components of the Tisa multinational engineering battalion for involvement in a forthcoming exercise.

The parties will also discuss the use of national proving ranges in the interests of combat training of the Land Forces units from the two countries, the official said.

During the visit, the Ukrainian delegation will also travel to the Hungarian army's central proving range in the town of Varpalota and 25th mechanized brigade in the town of Tata.
