MOSCOW. April 10 (Interfax-AVN) - Specialists of the Russian Air Force thoroughly analyze actions of the United States in Iraq, Air Force Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Mikhailov told reporters on Thursday.
"Since the very beginning of the U.S. operation, we have thoroughly analyzed actions of the American army. We were not assigned any missions related to involvement involved in the war. We could not and did not want to interfere with this dirty war," Mikhailov said.
According to him, the Iraqi air defense effectively failed to put up resistance to the U.S. army.
"The same is true for the Iraqi Air Force. We did not see it even on TV," Mikhailov noted.
He saw nothing new in means the U.S. used in Iraq. "All actions of, in particular, the Air Force were the same as during exercises," Mikhailov said.
"We carefully observed what ammo American pilots used and what number of sorties they fly," he stressed.
Mikhailov added that the U.S. Air Force "used too much aviation even when the situation did not call for it."
