TBILISI. April 17 (Interfax-AVN) - The persons involved in preparations for the Rescuer/Medceur 2003 exercise that is to take place in Georgia in September under the auspices of NATO's Partnership for Peace program will hold a working meeting in London on April 28-30.
"Participants in the meeting will analyze preparations for the exercise that was originally scheduled for May to June but was postponed due to the Iraqi crisis," Vice Colonel Irakly Batkuashvili, chief of the PfP coordination headquarters in the Georgian General Staff, told Interfax-Military News Agency on Thursday.
Conferences on preparations for the exercise took place in Tbilisi in October last year and January this year. The infrastructure of the Vaziani military base of the Georgian Defense Ministry will be fully prepared for the exercise by late May.
The final conference on preparations for the exercise will take place in London in late May.
The Rescuer/Medceur 2003 medical and command post exercise on cooperation in crisis situations is planned for September 8- 21. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany, Moldova and Ukraine confirmed their involvement in the event.
