TBILISI. April 29 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian presidential envoy for the Georgian-Abkhaz settlement will visit Sukhumi in the first half of May.
"Russian presidential envoy for the Georgian-Abkhaz settlement and First Deputy Foreign Minister Valery Loshchinin will travel to Sukhumi in the first half of May to finally coordinate with the Abkhaz party the establishment of working groups which will deal with the restoration of train service, refugees return and rehabilitation of the Inguri hydroelectric power plant in the context of agreements between Russian and Georgian presidents reached in Sochi in May," Georgian Minister without Portfolio Malkhaz Kakabadze told Interfax-Military News Agency on Tuesday.
"The Georgian party is interested in step-by-step negotiations," Kakabadze said.
He noted that the second meeting of officials from member- states of the UN Secretary General's Group of Friends on Georgia (Germany, France, Great Britain, Russia and the United States) will take place in Geneva in June.
