NOVOROSSIYSK. April 30 (Interfax-South) - Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov is chairing a session of the Russian Marine Collegium in Novorossiysk on Wednesday.
Kasyanov said in opening remarks that the collegium should consider three basic issues: building up port capacities in Novorossiysk and other nearby ports, continuing and intensifying geological exploration of the Black Sea floor, and Russia's military presence in the Black Sea.
Kasyanov said this last point is extremely important for Russia.
Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Vladimir Kuroyedov is to deliver the keynote report at the session, which is being held without the press.
