CHISINAU. May 7 (Interfax-AVN) - A group of officers of the Moldovan National Army will take part in the Combined Endeavor multinational exercise that will take place in the German city of Baumholder from May 8 to 22 in the framework of NATO's Partnership for Peace program.
"Moldova is taking part in such international military maneuvers for the first time, we made our debut in 1999," a source in the Moldovan Defense Ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency on Wednesday.
In addition to computer hardware, the Moldovan officers will take with them to Germany communication assets mounted on automobiles.
"The main goal of the Moldovan officers' participation in the NATO exercise is to improve professional skills and practice joint actions with colleagues from other armies on the sphere of communication and information technologies," the source said.
According to organizers of the exercise, over 30 nations have confirmed readiness to participate in Combined Endeavor.
