GROZNY. May 12 (Interfax-AVN) - The Chechen Emergency Situations Ministry has put the death toll from Monday's terrorist attack in Chechnya's Nadterechny district at 30 and said that another 70 have sustained injuries.
The ministry's duty officer told Interfax that a car loaded with explosives went off in the village of Znamenskoye, hitting the headquarters of the district Federal Security Service office and eight buildings nearby.
"Clean-up efforts are now in progress," he said, adding that "the death toll may increase."
Teams of firefighters and rescuers from Grozny, Khankala and Ingushetia are working at the scene.
