Military transfer large amount of humanitarian aid to Grozny residents

GROZNY. May 19 (Interfax-AVN) - About 3,000 Grozny's inhabitants received humanitarian aid from units of Central military commandant's office and commandant's offices of Grozny districts last week, the press group of the Grozny commandant's office told Interfax-Military Agency on Monday.

"About 3,000 inhabitants of Grozny received humanitarian aid from the military commandant's offices. Basically there were foodstuffs. The military transferred more than 15 tonnes of flour, over 200 kg of salt, about 900 kg of sugar, almost 1000 l of vegetable oil and other products in a week," the press-group said.

The military commandant's offices continue to assist citizens in solving their social problems, obtaining subsidies and compensations established by the law, searching for missing and abducted persons. Nineteen citizens contacted Grozny commandant's offices last week to settle those issues.
