Russia's major arms trader strengthening interaction with Far Eastern enterprises

MOSCOW. June 2 (Interfax-AVN) - A delegation of the Rosoboronexport state-owned arms trading company led by Director General Andrei Belyaninov embarked on a trip to the Far East on Monday to strengthen the company's interaction with defense industry enterprises of the region.

"The agenda of the visit includes meetings with Russian presidential envoy to the Far Eastern military district Konstantin Pulikovsky and with governors Sergei Darkin of the Maritime territory and Viktor Ishayev of the Khabarovsk territory. The meetings will address the strengthening and boosting of mutually profitable cooperation in promoting export- oriented products of Far Eastern defense industry enterprises on the foreign market," the Rosoboronexport press service said in a release.

The company's delegation will visit the largest defense industry enterprises of the region, including the Zvezda plant, Izumrud JSO, Arsenyev-based Progress aircraft company, Komsomolsk- on-Amur aircraft production association, Amur shipbuilding plant, and Khabarovsk shipbuilding plant.

The visit will last until June 7, the press service said.
