Russia's Izhmash to exhibit 47 samples of products at Omsk arms show

IZHEVSK. June 2 (Interfax-AVN) - The Izhmash consortium will exhibit 47 samples of its latest products at the VTTV-Omsk 2003 arms show that opens in Omsk on Tuesday, the Izhmash press service told Interfax-Military News Agency.

"The Izhmash consortium will exhibit 47 samples of its products at the arms show that will take place in Omsk from June 3 to 7. Izhmash's delegation will be led by deputy director general of the consortium Mikhail Yakovlev," a press service official said.

Among the products to be exhibited are the AK-101 and AK-102 assault rifles that fire NATO-type 5,56x45mm cartridges. AK-101 is fitted with the GP-25 underbarrel grenade launcher. Other assault rifles to be demonstrated include AK-103, AK-104, AK-105, AN-94 Abakan and modernized AK-74M. Izhmash's small arms will also be represented by the Dragunov sniper rifle in various complete sets and Bizon-2 and Bizon-2-01 pistols-machineguns. Mock-ups of Krasnopol and Kitolov guided armament systems will be demonstrated as well.

The hunting arms section of Izhmash's bench will consist of over 20 exhibits, including nearly the entire family of Saiga carbines - Saiga-12S, Saiga-410K-02, and Saiga-12S EXP-01. Korshun, Sobol, Tigr and Los carbines, as well as the Bars-4-1 carbine adapted for the 223 Rem cartridge, will be available to the public as well.

Izhmash's research and production center of high-precision equipment and the Izhevsk armory will exhibit special and hunting knives.
