Terrorist act in North Ossetia killed 16, including 3 women - updated info

MOSCOW. June 5 (Interfax-AVN) - Sixteen people died in the bombing of a military bus in Mozdok on Thursday morning, the Air Force press service told Interfax, referring to updated information.

"Thirty-one people became casualties on the bus that a suicide bomber blasted near Mozdok, according to updated information as of 12:20 p.m. Moscow time (0820 GMT). Sixteen died, among them four officers, two warrant officers, three contract servicemen, and seven civilians," a press service official said.

"There are three women among the dead," the official stressed. It was reported earlier that the terrorist act had killed 14 women and one officer.

Fifteen people, including three servicemen and 12 civilians, were wounded, the source said.

"The wounded were brought to the military hospital of the Mozdok garrison and the town hospital. Four of them are in the hospital's intensive care unit. Their condition is grave," the source said.

There were no pilots among the dead. The deceased servicemen were technicians, he said.
