Moscow, New Delhi preparing new Russian-Indian summit (Part 2)

NEW DELHI. June 16 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia and India are preparing a new top-level meeting, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov has said.

"Preparations are underway for the next Russian-Indian summit, which is to take place in Moscow," Ivanov said at a news conference in Delhi on Monday.

Moscow "highly values the warm and trusting nature of its relations with the Indian leadership," Ivanov said.

He said he is sure that his visit will help further strengthen interaction between the two countries both in bilateral relations and on the world arena.

Ivanov particularly emphasized "the importance of further expansion of military cooperation between Russia and India," and expressed interest in the "development of military-technical ties between Moscow and New Delhi."
