MOSCOW. June 18 (Interfax-AVN) -The board of the Interdepartmental Commission on Russian Airspace Use will hold a session on Thursday to discuss restructuring of the Unified Air Traffic Control System, chief of the Air Force press service Colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky told Interfax-Military News Agency.
The session is expected to make important decisions related to comprehensive upgrade and restructuring of the Unified Air Traffic Control System, Drobyshevsky said.
Air Force Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Mikhailov, who chairs the commission, will attend the session.
Lieutenant General Mikhail Kizilov, chief of the Defense Ministry's department for airspace use and air traffic control, will make a report at the session. Yuri Meleshko, head of the Transportation Ministry's department for state management of air traffic, is the co-speaker.
