85 rebels have applied for amnesty in Chechnya

KHANKALA. June 24 (Interfax) - Eighty-five Chechen rebels have applied for amnesty since the Duma decree on amnesty was issued, Colonel Ilya Shabalkin, speaking for the headquarters of the anti-terrorist operation in the Northern Caucasus, told Interfax on Tuesday.

Forty-four of these rebels have been amnestied.
