Russian Pacific Fleet ships to make visits to China, U.S.

VLADIVOSTOK. July 15 (Interfax-AVN) - Ships of the Russian Pacific Fleet will pay several friendly visits to foreign ports this year, Commander of the Pacific Fleet Admiral Victor Fyodorov told Interfax-Military News Agency on Tuesday.

"A trip to the Chinese town of Guangzhou is scheduled for September. The visit was not performed last year and postponed to this year," Fyodorov said. The Admiral Tributs large anti- submarine ship is getting ready for the trip.

Fyodorov added that another large anti-submarine ship Marshal Shaposhnikov will leave for Pearl Harbor, U.S., in October. "It will make a return visit after ships of the 7th Fleet of the U.S. Navy visited Vladivostok on July 4," the commander said.
