MOSCOW. July 16 (Interfax-AVN) - Pilots of the Russian Air Force will demonstrate dogfight elements during the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the town of Lipetsk at an air show on Saturday, chief of the Air Force's press service Colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky told Interfax-Military News Agency on Wednesday.
"The air show will take place in the framework of the celebration of the 300-year anniversary of Lipetsk on July 19. Pilots of the Air Force Center of personnel combat training and retraining will demonstrate the famous Lipetsk air wing of 14 aircraft and dogfight elements on SU-27 Flanker and MIG-29 Fulcrum jets," Drobyshevsky said.
According to him, the show's program includes team and single piloting of MIG-29, SU-24 Fencer, SU-25 Frogfoot, and SU- 27 aircraft. Chief of the Lipetsk center Alexander Kharchevsky will end the show onboard the SU-27 with performance of complicated aerobatics stunts, Drobyshevsky added.
