MOSCOW. July 23 (Interfax-AVN) - Two residents of Chechnya - a woman aged 22 and a man aged 28 - have been detained in Volgograd on suspicion of being members of illegal rebel groups.
Both were detained at the Volgograd railway terminal during a passport check on July 10, the Russian Interior Ministry's press service told Interfax.
Following an investigation, the Federal Security Service's Department for the Volgograd Region on Monday started criminal action against the detainees. They were charged with involvement in illegal armed formations and using false documents.
