MOSCOW. July 31 (Interfax-AVN) - Yury Sinelshchikov, who has been dismissed as Moscow's first deputy prosecutor, has denounced the results of the Prosecutor General Office's examination and said that he will appeal them in court.
"I completely disagree with the decisions made by the Prosecutor General's Office and plan to appeal them in court," Sinelshchikov told journalists on Thursday.
He recalled that he had sent a letter to President Vladimir Putin asking for his support.
Sinelshchikov and Mikhail Avdyukov, Moscow's prosecutor, were dismissed following a comprehensive check into the activities of the Moscow municipal prosecutor's office conducted by the state Prosecutor General's Office.
Avdyukov was relieved of his duties as Moscow prosecutor per his own request.
