SAROV. July 31 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that under any reform of the Atomic Energy Ministry and the nuclear sphere as a whole it would remain indivisible and effective.
"Whatever reorganization of the ministry structures or changes there may be, the whole system will remain indivisible, integral and functional," Putin said.
Russia "should and will remain a great nuclear power," he said.
This is important so that "the number of potential importers in the industry does not increase and nobody wishes to join this queue," he said.
After visiting the Russian Federal Nuclear Center he praised the state of the national nuclear sector and the safety and security of its facilities.
Putin described as impressive the standards of the center's projects, which have been carried out at the most advanced technical and scientific levels and in very interesting directions.
