RSK MIG to sign contract with Poland

MOSCOW. Aug 20 (Interfax-AVN) - A trilateral military- technical cooperation contract between RSK MIG, Polish Industrial Development Agency, and PZL-Melec, a Polish aircraft producer, has been initialed at MAKS 2003 international air show, the MIG press service told Interfax-Military News Agency Wednesday.

The contract stipulates that the Melec-based plant will license-produce the MIG-AT trainer, according to the press service.

The contract is to be signed August 28-31 in the town of Radom, Poland, at a show devoted to the 85th anniversary of the Polish Air Force. MIG will present there the MIG-29M2 Fulcrum and the MIG-AT. Polish pilots will perform training flights on these aircraft.

The press service said that this is evidence to MIG's comeback to the Polish market and to huge interest in the products of the corporation.
