KYIV. Aug 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukraine has spent some UAH26.3m (USD4.9m) on forming, training and equipping its peacekeeping contingent in Iraq, Petro Shulyak, commander-in- chief of the Ukrainian Land Forces, said in Kyiv on Friday.
"We bought weapons and equipment for them. We also spent money on logistics support. We purchased air conditioners, as well as portable toilets and showers. We also had new uniforms made. So I believe this money was not wasted," Shulyak said.
