MOSCOW. Aug 25 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Interior Minister Boris Gryzlov held an emergency intercom conference on the recent bombing attacks in Krasnodar on Monday, the ministry's chief spokesman Yuri Shuvalov told Interfax.
Gryzlov told his deputy in the Southern Federal District Mikhail Pankov to travel to Krasnodar in order to conduct an investigation and maintain public order. He asked the Krasnodar territory's police chief Sergei Kucheruk to intensify the investigation while the trail is still hot.
"An investigating team of Interior Ministry, Federal Security Service and prosecution service officials is at the crime scene trying to determine whether this was a common crime or a terrorist attack," Shuvalov said.
The Interior Ministry's Criminal Police Service has sent a team of anti-terrorist investigators to Krasnodar, he said.
The territorial police have been placed on high alert, Shuvalov reported.
Three people were killed and 17 others injured in the bombings, the territorial police headquarters reports.
