MOSCOW. Sept 1 (Interfax-AVN) - Over 300 officers of the Russian Armed Forces have been enrolled in the General Staff Academy, academy chief Colonel General Viktor Chechevatov said on Monday.
Chechevatov made the announcement at the parade on the first day of the new academic year. Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov's order on the enrolment of new officers in the academy was read out at the parade.
Over 20 foreign officers have become cadets of the academy, which is Russia's leading higher military educational establishment. Among them are representatives of Greece, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, France, Germany and Sweden.
