Russian rocket to put Japanese satellite in orbit in October

MOSCOW. Sept 8 (Interfax-AVN) - The second launch this year of a Rokot space rocket is scheduled for the end of October, Khrunichev Aerospace Center press service chief Alexander Bobrenyov told Interfax.

"The rocket will put the SERVIS-1 satellite of the Japanese Institute of Unmanned Space Experiment Free Flyer (USEF) into orbit," he said.

The launch will be done for the Japanese program SERVIS (Space Environment Reliability Verification Integrated Systems), Bobrenyov said.
