Investigators identify owner of truck used in Magas bombing attack

NAZRAN. Sept 16 (Interfax-South) - Investigators have identified the owner of the truck used in the bombing attack outside the Ingush office of the Russian Federal Security Service in Magas on Monday, sources in the Ingush Interior Ministry told Interfax on Tuesday.

The investigators were able to identify the owner, a resident of Grozny, from factory numbers on remaining parts of the truck found at the scene of the explosion.

They have also discovered that two unidentified men had driven the truck across a barren area to the eastern wall of the building before detonating the bomb.

The power of the explosion has been estimated at one tonne of TNT. It left a two-meter deep crater in the ground with a diameter of seven meters.
