MOSCOW. Sept 19 (Interfax-AVN) - The Plesetsk space center is completing preparations for the Kosmos-3M carrier rocket launch, the Space Forces press-service told Interfax-Military News Agency on Friday.
The launch is slated for September 26, the press-service said.
According to the Space Forces command post, combat crews and experts from the Omsk-based Polyot Industrial Association started mating stages and modules of the Kosmos-3M carrier rocket at assembly workshops of the space center. They also embarked on autonomous tests of four foreign spacecraft.
Russia's Mozhayets-4 and Larets satellites are being mounted on an adapter to be fitted on the carrier rocket's head, after the tests, conducted on Friday.
In addition to two Russian satellites, the payload mounted on the carrier rocket will include such foreign micro-satellites as NIGERIASAT-1, BILSAT-1, UK-DMC, and KAISTSAT-4, the press- service said.
