MOSCOW. Sept 22 (Interfax-AVN) - All Russian bases in Cuba and Vietnam were dismantled last year, Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov told journalists on Monday.
"It cost too much to maintain these bases. The significant funds we spent on them were ineffective," Ivanov said.
"The Defense Ministry is making much more effective use of this money. These funds have not been misappropriated," he added.
