MOSCOW. Sept 23 (Interfax-AVN) - The district interior office head and chiefs of the economic crime and taxation crime divisions have been detained in Budyonnovsk, Stavropol territory, Russian Interior Minister Boris Gryzlov told the press on Tuesday.
"The detentions came at the end of a year-long investigation into the activities of an organized crime ring in which police officials and businessmen were involved," he said.
A total of six mob leaders, in particular three police officers and three businessmen, have been detained, Gryzlov said.
