President meeting with country's top officials

MOSCOW. Oct 2 (Interfax-AVN) - President Vladimir Putin is meeting with senior Defense Ministry officials in Moscow on Thursday.

An Interfax correspondent reported that the meeting also involves high-ranking government officials, chiefs of security agencies, and heads of parliamentary factions and committees.

Deputy Prime Ministers Alexei Kudrin and Boris Alyoshin, Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref, Director of the Federal Security Service Nikolai Patrushev and Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov are taking part.
