KYIV. Oct 3 (Interfax-AVN) - The Ukrainian Defense Ministry's chief inspectorate led by Chief Inspector Army General Vitaliy Radetsky has started checking the Ukrainian Navy, the ministry's press service said on Friday.
"Military inspectors will analyze the Navy's staff structure, evaluate the Navy development level and personnel morale, and check arrangement of combat duty, tactical and professional skills of officers, a press service official told Interfax-Military News Agency.
"The inspectors will also check the state of armament and military hardware, logistics support, research, technical, financial and economic activity, fire and environmental security of the Navy. During the check, each Navy serviceman will take credits in firing skills and physical training," the official said.
Commission members will work in administrations, departments and services of the Navy command and in the units reporting directly to the Navy command, including coast guard forces recently handed over to the Navy.
During the check, the Navy command will get necessary practical and methodical aid, the official stressed.
Results of the inspection will be summed up at the Ukrainian Navy Staff on October 11.
