Logistics noncoms for Interior Ministry to be trained in Leningrad Military District

MOSCOW. Oct 9 (Interfax-AVN) - The 321st Warrant Officers School headquartered in the village of Garbolovo in the Leningrad region, will train logistics noncoms for the Interior Ministry.

"Training of logistics specialists for the Interior Ministry, which will begin on December 1, is another step towards a unified logistics support system for armed authorities," chief of the school Colonel Vladimir Karavayev told Interfax-Military News Agency on Thursday.

He said that chiefs of food/uniform/fuel depots and chiefs of dining facilities trained in the school were in high demand throughout the Armed Forces. He added that the school has about 200 trainees from almost all Russian regions and from the Tajikistan-based 201st Motorized Rifle Division.

Nowadays a lot of people who had served in the army earlier wish to become noncoms through the school. In addition, female trainees currently account for over 5 % of the entire trained personnel, the chief said.

Training for the Interior Ministry logistics will not require strong changes in the program, he emphasized.

Karavayev recalled that the school has already trained over 12,000 logistics specialists for the Armed Forces.
