SUKHUMI/TBILISI. Oct 14 (Interfax-AVN) - Abkhaz law- enforcement agencies are carefully monitoring the situation in Georgia in the run-up to parliamentary elections scheduled for November 2, Givi Agrba, chairman of the Abkhaz Security Service, said on Tuesday.
"There is intelligence information on possible provocation acts in the conflict zone in the run-up to the elections," Agrba told Interfax-Military News Agency.
"Revanchist moods emerge in Georgia in the run-up to any- elections, which means that the possibility of sending saboteurs supported by Georgian law-enforcement agencies to Abkhazia is growing," he said.
Meanwhile, Tbilisi has rejected Abkhazia's accusations of sending saboteurs to the self-proclaimed republic.
"The Intelligence Department has nothing to do with the persons whom the Abkhaz party calls saboteurs," department chairman Avtandil Ioseliani told Interfax-AVN on Tuesday.
