MOSCOW. Nov 6 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia and Italy have signed an agreement to cooperate in the disposal of decommissioned Russian nuclear submarines and the safe handling of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel, a source in the Russian Atomic Energy Ministry told Interfax on Thursday.
"It is a framework document, which stipulates projects totaling EUR360m. The Atomic Energy Ministry will sign specific contracts with Italy on its basis," the source said.
Ministry sources told Interfax earlier that they planned six projects on the disposal of decommissioned submarines in cooperation with Italy.
