MOSCOW. Nov 12 (Interfax-AVN) - Military commissioners' offices have begun sending teams of conscripts to their units this week, Lieutenant General Valery Astanin, chief of the manning department, General Staff Mobilization Directorate, told Interfax-Military News Agency Wednesday.
"In accordance with the directive of the chief of staff, military commissioners' offices began sending conscripts to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on November 10," he said.
He said that the conscription campaign was going on as planned, rather smoothly.
"This fall conscription campaign is going on smoothly in all regions of the country, without clashes, with an open-minded and friendly attitude to draftees themselves and to their parents," the general he emphasized.
