ST.PETERSBURG. Dec 2 (Interfax-AVN) - A fire broke out at the logistics support headquarters of the Leningrad military district on Tuesday, the press service of the fire-fighting department for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region told Interfax-Military News Agency.

The report on the fire on the second floor of the headquarters' three-story building in St. Petersburg was received at 12:59 p.m. Moscow time (0959 GMT), and the fire was localized at 1:45 p.m. Moscow time (1045 GMT), a press service official said.

Colonel Yuri Klenov, press service chief of the Leningrad military district, told Interfax-AVN citing early reports that the fire was caused by a short circuit in a wooden partition between offices.

"Nobody was hurt as a result of the incident, and there is only minor damage. The premises just require cosmetic repairs," Klenov said.
