MOSCOW. Dec 22 (Interfax-AVN) -Russia's strategic nuclear forces will be further developed, Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov said at a Monday meeting between President Vladimir Putin and Cabinet members.
"We will upgrade the Topol-M systems and the entire strategic nuclear component, first and foremost through better quality and efficiency of the nuclear triad," the minister said.
Ivanov said he "will be ready to inform the president about concrete areas for developing Russia's nuclear forces in early 2004."
