MOSCOW. Dec 22 (Interfax-AVN) - The Rosoboronexport state- owned arms trading company and the Almaz-Antei air defense consortium have signed a general agreement on interaction in foreign trade activity related to military-purpose products, the Rosoboronexport press service reported on Monday.
"The document was signed by Rosoboronexport Director General Andrei Belyanikov and Almaz-Antei Director General Vladislav Menshchikov," the report reads.
The parties agreed to enhance coordination in advertising and marketing activity, analysis of funding schemes, insurance and transportation of the consortium's export-oriented products.
Almaz-Antei was set up by a Russian presidential decree in 2002. It incorporates 46 enterprises that develop and produce air defense armament and military hardware. Among them are the Antei consortium (consisting of the Electromechanics R&D Institute, Kupol plant, Arsenal plant, Soyuz design bureau, Novator plant, Strela R&D enterprise, etc.), Raspletin Almaz research and production association, Kuntsevo design bureau, Ulyanovsk mechanical plant, Fakel design bureau, Agat R&D Institite, etc.
