MOSCOW. Dec 22 (Interfax-AVN) - The Russian Air Force will obtain five new SU-27 Flanker jets by the yearend, head of the Air Force press service Colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky told Interfax-Military News Agency on Monday.
"Five SU-27 jets will soon be sent to the Lipetsk garrison. The planes will come from the aviation plant in Komsomolsk-on- Amur on December 25," he said.
The same plant supplied five SU-35 Flanker fighters to the Air Force in July this year, Drobyshevsky stressed. The planes were handed over to the aircraft demonstration center in Kubinka, Moscow region.
