MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian presidential aide Sergei Yastrzhembsky said that international terrorist Shamil Basayev's possible involvement in the recent bombings of a commuter train in southern Russia near the Chechen border and outside the National Hotel in Moscow is the main theory being pursued by investigators.
"We do not have 100% confirmation of this information. But this is one of the main views," Yastrzhembsky told a news conference at the Interfax central office on Wednesday.
