Russian budget assigns USD3.4m for training facilities development in army units

MOSCOW. Dec 26 (Interfax-AVN) - Over RUB100m (USD3.42m) is allocated for development for training facilities in military units in the framework of the federal purpose-oriented program of transition to contract service with the Russian Armed Forces, Army General Nikolai Kormiltsev, deputy defense minister and commander of the Land Forces, has said.

The most up-to-date trainers will soon be supplied to military units, Kormiltsev said in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda daily published on Friday.

"This will contribute a lot to boosting the intensity of troop training, which means that efficiency and quality of contract servicemen's training will increase," he said.

Kormiltsev stressed that efficient use of budget funds allocated for the transition to contract service was an urgent problem.

Use of funds with maximum profit "depends on efficient functioning of all military command bodies, commanders, staffs and military commissioner's offices, on the ability of everyone to handle the funds and material resources properly within their competence limits," he noted.
