MOSCOW. Dec 29 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia and Uzbekistan will add another chapter to the current air transport agreement of March 2, 1994. The chapter will deal with flight security, according to the statement of the governmental information department, received by Interfax-Military News Agency on Monday.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov has ordered a corresponding agreement on additions to the current agreement concluded by exchanging notes, the statement reads.
According to the statement, the new chapter implies that any of the parties has a right to request consultations on flight security standards of the other party, pertaining to air navigation means, the crew, the aircraft, and operation of the aircraft. Such consultations shall begin within 30 days from the reception of the request.
The additions to the current agreement will become effective when the foreign ministries of the two countries exchange relevant notes.
